SHIPPING:

  • FREE Economy International shipping is applied at checkout for all purchases from my website.

  • International shipping can take some time to arrive. (Up to 4 weeks for Australia)

  • International parcels may incur an import/duty fee, this is the buyer’s responsibility to pay.

  • All artworks are sent from my home studio in Finland, please allow up to 7 days for me to prepare and ship it.

  • Express post and insurance is an additional service that needs to be pre-arranged.  

  • A signed certificate of authenticity is supplied with every artwork.

  • Once shipped, you will receive an email notification with a tracking number. All shipping times are approximate and cannot be guaranteed.

  • If you fail to either collect your parcel, pay the customs fee, or list incorrect contact details, the artwork will be returned to me and you will need to pay the re-postage fee.

  • Please do not request a parcel to be left outside and unattended, if you do I cannot be responsible for any damage or theft.

  • I have never had an artwork damaged or lost in transit, however, if this happens to you, please email laurenguymerart@gmail.com.


PAYMENT:

  • All payments are processed in EUR €.

  • Please convert prices from EUR at the time of payment to check if this suits you.

  • Once processed, your bank statement should read “www.laurenguymer.com” or “Lauren Guymer.”

  • All payments are securely processed with Stripe. Please visit Stripe for their terms of service.

  • I am currently not required to pay or charge VAT.

COMMISSIONS AND PAYMENT PLANS:

  • Commissions and payment plans are customized and mutually agreed on, all terms will be listed in your invoice. By paying the initial deposit or instalment you agree to these terms.  

  • For commissions, I require an upfront non-refundable 20% deposit of the total artwork price before I create the artwork.

  • For payment plans, the first installment acts as a non-refundable deposit.

RETURNS:

  • Refunds and exchanges are not accepted based on a change of mind including pre-orders, commissions, and sale items.

  • All items listed at a discounted studio rate are final, and cannot be exchanged or returned.

  • Commission deposits and the first installment in a payment plan are non-refundable.


ARTWORK PRESERVATION:

  • All artworks are created with professional artist-quality archival materials. They are stored and treated with the utmost care in my studio.

  • All artworks are subject to light exposure, fading, humidity, smoke, heat, and human damage if not appropriately cared for.

  • It is the responsibility of the buyer to continue to conserve and protect the artwork, which I am more than happy to advise on.

  • Unframed works on paper are particularly susceptible to damage and must be professionally framed with archival materials and standards. Purchasing a supermarket-quality frame is not archival and will not protect the artwork. If you would like framing recommendations please reach out.

  • Once it leaves my studio, I am not responsible for any damage and mishandled artwork. However, if something is faulty or accidentally damaged please let me know as soon as possible so I can assess or help restore it.

COPYRIGHT:

  • All artworks are copyright © Lauren Guymer.

  • Purchasing an artwork does not transfer the copyright ownership.

  • No artwork can be reproduced or distributed, including purchased artworks, digital images, and those seen online and in public.

  • Purchased artworks cannot be modified in any way, except for the external frame.  

  • Images of my work and text can be used for educational purposes only and must be referenced.


PRIVACY POLICY:

  • Only your contact information is privately collected on my website at checkout via Squarespace. This information is used for shipping labels, receipts, and communication if necessary. Please visit Squarespace for their terms of service.

  • By supplying your contact information with a purchase, you also agree to shipping services using this information.

  • Your phone number will be included on your shipment for essential tracking purposes.

  • If you choose to subscribe at checkout, your name and email are privately stored on my mailing list via MailChimp or Squarespace, and are only used for that purpose. Please visit MailChimp and Squarespace for their terms of service.

  • All payments are securely processed with Stripe. Please visit Stripe for their terms of service.  

  • For further information, questions, or concerns, please email me at laurenguymerart@gmail.com. Some payment emails may come from laurenguymertaide@gmail.com. I will only ever use these two emails.


AGREEMENT OF TERMS:

  • Lauren Guymer reserves the right to update the terms and conditions at any moment, which will be written in this section of the website.

  • By placing an order on www.laurenguymer.com you are agreeing to the above terms and conditions.
